The Practice of the Presence of God
The very very old book call The Practice of the Presence of God is a book of collected teachings of Brother of a 17th-century disabled monk. Brother Lawrence struggled with wanting to be used of God and make a difference with his life. He’s overlooked by all the leaders in his life and is put in the kitchen cooking and doing dishes at a monastery. He decides to work on his ability to notice the presence of God. This book is small and very short but will raise your level of love for God.

My Utmost for His Highest
My Utmost for His Highest would be a great devotional if you struggle with consistentcy when it comes to personal quiet time. There are short one page devotionals for everyday of the year and you just pick whatever the date is and begin reading. Although Oswald Chambers is very short each day – the thoughts are profound and very deep. We highly recommend this book.
Studies in the Sermon on the Mount
Studies in the Sermon on the Mount by Oswald Chamber is a great book for anyone wanting to take a closer look at the only message Jesus ever preached. Chambers in this book brings deeper understanding to Christ words and what they mean for His followers today. If you want to see Gods Kingdom in your everyday life this is a great read.
